Is the environment at your business one in which every employee chooses to bring energy, passion, and a positive attitude to work with him or her each day? Is there an environment in which employees are truly connected to their work, their colleagues, and to the people they serve? In order for us to understand why certain people find success and others experience failure in life, we must examine and attempt to understand what is called human behavior. Ron Willingham, founder of Integrity Systems in Phoenix, Arizona, states that there are three levels of human behavior.

i.e.: The Intellectual Level, The Emotional Level, and The Creative/Unconscious Level. He further goes on to call these three levels the” I Think”, “I Feel” and the “I Am” part of each of us. Almost all training programs are geared to the intellectual level of human behavior.

For anyone that has ever made a New Year’s resolution, we know that when the intellectual and emotional parts of our human behavior are in conflict, the emotions will win out over 85% of the time. This is exactly why in any educational training program; the Creative/Unconscious Level (“I Am”) is the level that needs to be addressed. Behavioral change (not just intellectual information) should be the main target of any and all instruction.
